Boston Cruise

Boston being on the East Coast ,there are plenty of cruise operators offering various options. Summer Time is the right time to go on a cruise and take a look at the marvelous city of Boston. I did not had to think too much as soon as I reached out for the tickets as I wanted to cover as much as possible in a day. I chose to take a trip that could last for 5 hours and gave me a good view, though there were options for a shorter time.I met some fabulous people on board. The recorded sound played at the background as it explained the place that were passing through. I had hotdogs on board and it was a cruise to remember.Boston looked so beautiful from the sea.

The Plane landed at the Logan International Airport in Boston and it was dreams come true for me. I always wanted to travel to USA and Boston is one of the most amazing places to be in. I recollected the Boston Tea party that I had read in my history books long time back. It was summer time and the climate was warm and I was glad that it was not raining .I had plans for 30 days and I knew that I was about have the best time in my life. The airport runway ended into the sea and it was such a beautiful place to be in( I hate airports in general).

I had already made my itinerary and it was all planned. I knew exactly what to do and I love planning my trips well in advance. I had made arrangement for my hotel stay in a suburb called Town of Braintree in Norfolk County. I had the entire city mapped out on my cell and on my notepad including the rail and the bus network. I was told that I could save a lot of money using the Boston Transport System, the MBTA which operates both the subway and the bus system. There were people wearing the Red Sox Jersey and I could see how much they loved their team. Though Boston has kept its old city charm intact, it is a modern city with enormous energy and I could feel the vibes. My first stop had to be at a city centre. I bought a single ticket for $54 that would give me unlimited ferry on the bus and metro. I was all set and jumped into the metro rail to reach.....................

Downtown - The announcer uttered "Downtown Crossing" and I was quick to step out with the other passengers. Downtown is a term primarily used in USA to refer to a city's center, it also a commercial hub. It was an underground station and as climbed the stairs to reach the gate, an old greeted me and handed me a Boston time newspaper. I was at the heart of one of the largest city in USA .It was crowded with people rushing to work. I looked up to gauge the height of the building I was standing under. This building was not alone. This place was bustling with activity. The pathways was beautiful, the shops colorful as were the crowd. I started walking as saw policemen on horses and bikes guarding the street. The shop displays were breathtaking and restaurants were busy as were the Starbucks and dunkindonuts .It features large department stores like Macys, music stores, souvenir sellers, general retail establishments, and many street vendors. I could see people from all ethnic groups. I bought a hotdog for my breakfast and I walked past many stores towards the music I was attracted to. It was live performance by artists as they promoted their newly released album. This was so amazing. This was so amazing. I could spend the entire 30 days here but I decided to stick to my schedules, there were more places to be explored.

Revere Beach - After having explored the entire downtown area , I had decided to go the Revere beach.I took the Blue line train to alight at Wonderland, a station close to the beach. It was a rather unpopulated area and the beach was located across the road. I could see the beach after 5 minutes of walking and my position on the road gave me a panoramic ocean view.It was a treat for the sun worshipers as they laid there basking in the sun.The sea was clean and couple of surfers rode the tide like there was no tomorrow. If it was the surfers in the sea, wrestlers had a good fight on the beach, an apt surface to practice.I saw tourist from all over the world and in-spite of the fact that it was not all that clean , it was certainly popular. It had a very extended walkway and I begun to walk looking at the beautiful people around.I spoke to few beachgoers and they mentioned that there was no place more crazy or more American than Revere Beach.I spend the entire day on the beach , taking pictures and talking to people.

Harvard Business School and MIT -I decided to spend the next two days in some of the worlds biggest and the best eduction institutes, the HBS and the MIT.I took the red line to reach the Harvard Square.Right across the street was the Harvard University.HBS was located across the Charles River from the main Harvard University campus. The Harvard University campus was vibrant with activity. There were tourist guides with a pack of tourist following them.I could do without them. The campus was vast and green.I ventured out to cross the bridge for a 10 minutes walk to reach the Harvard Business School. It was an old building with red-brick exteriors.I roamed around campus and spoke to a couple of students. The Librarian at the Baker Library was kind enough to allow me inside and to browse around. It was a huge with study spaces and faculty offices.I was hungry by now and thanked the librarian before I headed to a nearby restuarant.MIT was a little far off from where I was and it was 4 pm.I decided to head back to my hotel Room. Next day , right early in the morning I set out to visit MIT.The structure of the building was fabulous and could see some intelligent souls around.I could spend just the morning there since I had decided to go for a cruise in the morning.
